🦍 Mountain Gorilla Tracking

Step into the heart of the jungle and come face-to-face with one of the world’s most awe-inspiring creatures. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, led by expert guides from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Start your journey from one of four sectors—Buhoma, Nkuringo, Rushaga, or Ruhija—and follow the trails deep into the forest in a small group of up to 8 people. Trek durations range from 45 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located.

Once you find them, you’ll spend a magical one hour observing a habituated gorilla family, just 7 meters away. Young gorillas may curiously approach, while mothers rest peacefully nearby. It’s an intimate and humbling wildlife encounter unlike any other.

• Permits are limited and sell out quickly—especially in peak seasons (June–September, January–February).

• Book at least 6–12 months in advance.

• In rare cases where gorillas aren’t spotted, 50% of your permit fee is refunded.
